Seize the Days, Inc. explores, shares and celebrates the unique and meaningful ways that people touched by cancer add life to their days. By documenting, presenting and preserving stories from patients, family members, friends and caretakers, we aim to accomplish the following:

• Honor patients diagnosed with cancer, both living and deceased, and the ways they make their days meaningful to them and those around them

• Create and make available an oral history library that showcases the spirit and courage of people touched by cancer

• Provide patients and their families an avenue through which they can share and memorialize their stories and those of their loved ones

• Inspire health care providers to identify and develop those aspects of patients’ lives that bring fulfillment and meaning

• Develop tools for educators working with future physicians, nurses, social workers and other health care practitioners

Seize the Days, Inc. respects the privacy of patients and their families and disseminates only those parts of interviews that are intended by participants to be shared.
